The permanent exhibition of experimental animation on Media Art Nexus consists of a series of 6 innovative pieces played in real-time daily.
Created for a 15 x 2 meter LED video wall this animation explores pinscreen animation with audio-reactive animation and emotive expression. In 2017 the piece was also adapted for 19.2m by 12m LED screen at the NTU Singapore for the occasion of An International Symposium and Exhibition: On|Off 100101010 | Colliding and Surrendering: chaos and freedom where art and technologies meet.
Quantonium (2016) is audio reactive animation and plays with the idea of mechanical reflections on matter and space. Together with The Rose, both animations premiered at the 8k Deep Space, for the occasion of the screening at the Ars Electronica Festival 2016, “RADICAL ATOMS and the alchemists of our time”, Linz, Austria, 8-12.09.2016

Thanks to 16×9-meter projection surfaces on space’s front wall and floor, 8K resolution, and sophisticated technical features. Media Art NEXUs was showcasing for the entire duration of the festival together with giants in the field of new media such are: NHK is Japan’s public broadcasting corporation and the world’s first Super Hi-Vision 8K test broadcast, international artists such as AROTIN & SERGHEI’s and Bildrecht Vienna / Museum in Progress Vienna, Korean Media artists HYUNDAI MOTOR GROUP University—Mabuk Campus.
