Quantum Logos (vision serpent) on Media Art Nexus Singapore

Quantum Logos (vision serpent) on Media Art Nexus Singapore
Art Intervention and Screening at the Media Art Nexus Nanyang Technological University Singapore, 24 April 2021

Going beyond the limitations of classical logic this film uses images as poetry to represent the quantum world. Using cultural icons to create visual metaphors to explore, and discover; to communicate the counterintuitive, and contradictory beauty of quantum physics.

Quantum Logos  is an immersive, reactive audio-visual experience that explores the fundamentals of quantum theory through cultural archetypes. Using cutting-edge real-time animation techniques, we attempt to shed new light on fundamental natural phenomena, confirming scientific observations that raise questions about the nature of existence. The works were first shown in 2019 in Linz Austria, at the Ars Electronica Festival Deep Space 8k Theater as an immersive projection on a 16 x 9 meter wall, accompanied by a 16 x 9 meter floor projection with interactive laser tracking.
The animation was also adapted for large scale LED media display (15m by 2m) in public at the Nanyang Technological University Singapore, and screened in April of 2021.

Credits: Director and Animation by Mark Chavez (US), Executive Producer Ina Conradi (SG), Music by EGON (US), Sci-Art producers Bianka Hofmann (DE), Bob Kastner (AU)
